Local Weather
Fall September begins the fall season and reveals the true beauty of the prairies. The shortening days lead to beautiful trees along the Wascana Parkway as farmers harvest their amber grain in the countryside. Mornings and evenings can be a bit chilly, so pack an extra sweater for comfort.
Winter Winter in Saskatchewan can be breathtaking, literally. Regina in the winter months is as cold as it is beautiful. From December to February the temperatures can be quite cold. You will want to bring along a warm parka and gloves to guard against the crisp winter air. And that ever Canadian tradition of wearing a toque wouldn't hurt.
Spring Spring is an especially beautiful time of year as the land emerges from its winter slumber. Though temperatures may soar in the daytime allowing for thawing and ice melting, during the night the temperatures may dip. Wearing layered clothing enables you to dress for the weather, without being overheated or chilled.
Summer Summer time in Regina is the warmest time of the year. Southern Saskatchewan has one of the world's highest exposures to sunshine so temperatures can soar in July and August. Be sure to pack light clothing and sunscreen to guard against the sun's rays.
